Group and reassign contacts in bulk

Here's how you can group and reassign contacts in bulk:

  • Go to the main Contact list.
  • Use the “Add a filter” option in the “Sort and filter” section on the left to apply any relevant filters to narrow the list to the desired contacts.
  • For example, you can use the “Assigned user" option to pull up only one user's contacts, or use "Add a filter" to filter by address.
  • Once you have only the desired contacts, tick the "Select all" box above the first listed contact and select all of the records.
  • Select “Perform bulk action on [number] records” at the bottom of the screen.
  • In the dialog that opens, select “Attach an item.” Then, choose “Group.”
  • If the group already exists, select the appropriate group name. If not, create a new group by typing in a new group name, and then selecting “Save group.”
  • Next, select “Attach to [number] records” to add the records to the selected group.
  • Select “Perform bulk action on [number] records” at the bottom of the screen again.
  • In the dialog that opens, select "Assign to user."
  • Choose the appropriate user name to assign the selected contacts and select “Continue.”
  • Select the “Assign [number] records” button to confirm the assignment. The user will receive an email that they've been assigned new contacts.
